Blaine Schatz was born and raised on a ranch hovering between North and South Dakota. He has always been interested in woodworking and furniture construction. When his sister, who lives in California, introduced him to the Krenov School he was impressed by the quality of work executed at the school and decided to apply. He was pleased to be accepted and hopes to gain the skills necessary to excel in creating well-constructed and beautifully designed furniture. After completing this program he intends to set up a shop and begin building original works.
