I started pursuing woodworking a couple years ago and I love how the craft pushes my limits and pulls me in deeper everyday. I graduated from UCLA with a fine arts degree focusing primarily on photography, video and sculpture. I began to sculpt with wood but lacked the technical skills and understanding of the material to transcend hammers, nails and screws. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to immerse myself in this school and join its legacy as I grow in my practice. I hope to find an apprenticeship after school that will dovetail with this experience. Please excuse the pun.
