Zayd is a Palestinian/American who comes to the Krenov School from Olympia, WA where he graduated from Evergreen State College. There he studied Middle East history, cooperative development, and in his final two quarters discovered woodworking. After graduating, Zayd continued woodworking in a small home shop, with every spare moment, making furniture for himself and friends.
Zayd wants to build beautiful and lasting objects while finding ways to incorporate mutual-aid, anti-capitalism, and decolonization in his work. He expects figuring that out… will be a lifelong journey.
